I provide psychotherapy and counselling utilising a number of techniques; person centred counselling, Neuro linguistic programming and predominantly Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. I completed my training at South Manchester Psychotherapy Centre and I undergo regular supervision at SMCP to ensure my work is safe, effective and of high quality.
Psychotherapy and counselling is highly effective at dealing with any problems and difficulties you may be facing. I came to discover the value of seeing a therapist because I was experiencing difficulties in my own life and wanted to find better ways to deal with my own problems. Seeking therapy changed my life for the better and allowed me to truly appreciate the value therapy can have on one’s life. I was able to examine unhelpful thought patterns I had adopted and deal with my own anxieties in my life.
I am also a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist and often work with clients who are having difficulties with anxiety, depression, loss and other aspects of life that affect people being able to live meaningful and independent lives. I find the philosophical base of occupational therapy sits really well with the values of TA Psychotherapy.
I live in Bury and I am mum to three children. I feel I have a lot of life experience that has assisted me in providing excellent psychotherapeutic interventions for people. I feel in a very privileged position to be able to provide the help that changed my life for the better in ways that I never thought possible – I always refer to my own personal therapeutic Journey as ‘better than winning the lottery!’
